Mind Span Wellness is committed to protect and promote the mental health of all people in all communities. It is our goal to achieve equity in mental health throughout our communities :
"We cannot live only for ourselves. A thousand fibers connect us with our fellow men."
~ Herman Melville
Studies have shown that art, music and movement activities directly affect our physical well-being as well as our mental and emotional state-of-mind. For individuals dealing with neurodiversity or learning differences, expressing their needs or socializing can be challenging, even though the desire to do so may still be there. We have developed our programs through generous grants from donors like the Nora Roberts Foundation.
With the success of our 2022 enrichment programs, and understanding the need for more interventions at the educational level, we have begun offering tutoring & mentoring in 1-on-1 sessions for students and adults dealing with learning differences and other neuropsychological disorders. Additionally, our 2023 Enrichment Programs will begin enrollment later this summer. Please click the link below for more information on both programs.
Young people with mental illness are often misunderstood.
We accept our older population with dementia and psychological disorders, because we believe that it is is a part of aging. However, sometimes this is a genetic issue, or from causes that we do not understand yet. We must understand that anyone, at any age, can be affected by neuro-psychological brain disorders like dementia, psychosis, or bipolar that can alter their life......
sometimes beyond their control.
